My Story

“It is easy to make a picture of someone and call it a portrait. The difficulty lies in making a picture that makes the viewer care about a stranger.” — Paul Strand

I first heard about Strand and so many others while studying photography at RIT so many years ago. And while the mechanics of photography have evolved to plateaus unimaginable then, the sentiments of Strand's words are as relevant today. I want viewers to crave the nuances beneath the surface of my photographs. I want them to thirst for the story within each individual I photograph,  to savor the taste of each food shot or the kiss of morning dew in a landscape. My mission has been to make photographs where conversations begin.  Thanks for stopping by.
